I think the worst thing about capitalism (for now, my viewpoint may further evolve) is how people are wrung dry for every ounce of profitable productivity in their bodies with no regard to their status as humans. People think this gets better when you're your own boss but arguably it's even worse. The "rise and grind" and "I'll rest when I'm dead" mentality is unhealthy, leaving behind scores of people burnt out, numb, and disillusioned with life.

I think there's a period where it can be regulated and capitalism starts wringing obvious inefficiencies out. Supply chains get better. Some throwing people's bodies at stuff for dumb reasons stops. Automation increases. Then there's no easy wins left, and it starts eating its young. The environment is chewed up, workers get thrown into the machine harder and harder, government gets captured by the machine and then here we are.

Asking which part of capitalism is the worst, is IMO, like asking which was the worst of the ten plagues of Egypt.
