apparently, Comcast thinks anarchy.works, a website that is 100% text without any JS, is a security threat
But they still let me go to Facebook without a disclaimer...
woops, forgot description on this, sorry!
image is of a comcast xfinity dns filter warning me that anarchy.works might compromise my device or contain dangerous content, with a button to "return to safety" and another to proceed anyway
@awe
DNS fuckery from ISP's!! half the time it kills my duckduckgo query full stop, often it takes suspiciously long to resolve for all but culturally banal web content, and another frequent segment of time things that should have been the duckduckgo query don't even successfully pretend to have not been DNS tampered for three letter agencies and instead yield AT&T DNS Error Assist search result pages, which are even internally bad at their search jobs. Lazy surveillance state, lazy!
@brettleeper the worst part is that this is a "feature" that you either pay extra for or receive "for free" as part of their "higher price" router (which is the only reason we actually have this crap, because we wanted to rent a router-modem from them but get the best speeds possible)
@awe "feature" mmmm branding wankery
@brettleeper they also send me threat warnings in the app about how my torrent peers are spooky scary
