Firefox's new Privacy Network (don't call it a VPN) is a good effort. But if you're going to use it, I suggest trusting it as much as you trust Cloudflare, not as much as you trust Mozilla or Firefox.
@teslas_moustache Trust it as much as I trust Cloudflare... Well I don't trust Cloudflare at all, I quite regularly ask that Cloudflare goes for a swim on the sun (they already half way there being in the clouds and all⸮⸮)
@codeawayhaley can we launch Cloudflare into the sun instead?
@teslas_moustache And if you need any pointers on how much to trust Mozilla, remember they they get hundreds of millions of dollars every year for legitimising and allowing a third-party to violate your privacy (currently Google, Inc.)
@aral I don't think they get money from Google anymore. Feel free to correct me.
@teslas_moustache @aral I like Firefox and my default search is DDG, I am interested in the VPN but don’t know Cloudflare (yet) however aral is correct in that Google pay a lot to Mozilla around search - https://www.cnet.com/news/google-firefox-search-deal-gives-mozilla-more-money-to-push-privacy/
