I feel like there aren't enough movies that take "show, don't tell" to its extreme by not having dialogue.
In fact I can't remember seeing any at all.
I would be so interested in seeing a movie where you follow a non-verbal protagonist that just.. _does things_. No talking, no exposition. Just let me watch this person (or any type of animal) experience something.
It could be especially interesting if it's an animated film with very few camera cuts, making the experience feel more seamless and real.
Also very little music. No music during action scenes and mostly atmospheric music for scenery shots.
This is already a funny scene but it could be even funnier if he didn't have to ask what she was feeling but rather just sort of.. visibly realised:

I think you could probably make an almost entirely dialogue-less comedy using situations like that. Because as humans we don't go around verbalising every time we see something funny, nor do all humorous situations arise in conversation. Consequently it should be possible to have a comedy that doesn't rely on literal jokes (and without resorting to slapstick).
@sudoreboot have you seen the disney movie Wall-E? pretty sure that ticks a number of these boxes
@balrogboogie A long time ago. I should probably rewatch it!
@sudoreboot https://youtu.be/tA23-RzhkzY here's a pretty recent one.
@bkhl Nice, looks interesting!
@clacke oh yeah, Pingu! I loved that when I was little.
Now that I think about it, Donald Duck used dialogue rather sparsely and when they do speak it's as much quacking as it is actual words.
I'll check out the others, and 9 in particular. Thanks :)
@clacke they do indeed!
@clacke Definitely checking out A Quiet Place first :)
