living in a point and click adventure game isn't easy, but it's worth it

i'm hanging out in the tavern today, and i saw this dude who looks way lower rez than me but somehow has a lot more movement to him.

i'm content to have more pixels but less to do

suddenly he's posting up in the doorway but doesn't move. everyone in the bar talks to him one at a time, one after the other, most of em say the same ol thing. Regulars you know, the town drunk, the dude who runs the corner haberdashery.

i don't know what I do, i sit in the tavern mostly.

"The Cool S"

anyway he looks at me and i just start talking. I can't control myself, talking and talking and talking, and i don't realize it but i know a fuck of a lot about the Woods-by-the-Water and the Deserted Place, cuz u see that's near where i grew up

and then he's gone, and i'm thinking "jeez that's weird," but i don't say it out loud, no one's looked at me so there's no need to. life's more relaxing that way.

and then like all of a sudden my glass is full, and he's back, and he asks everyone all the same questions again, and i sit there and do my thing all pretty, and say the same shit about where I grew up, and then he's gone.

lot's of free drinks when you live in a game like i do

or do something off screen that the player character shouldn't be able to know about
