Photographs of derelict buildings being reclaimed by nature by a Paris-based photographer named Jonk.

They're part of a collection called Naturalia: Chronicle of Contemporary Ruins

An enclosed area, with a large arch ahead, and a what looks like a small water fountain to its right, long disused. Plants crowd the space, carpeting the floor and sprouting from the walls. On the left, a young tree is climbing upwards towards the light from above, bushy with lush leaves. Through the archway, a room can be seen, with large windows and stonework. Clearly this entire place used to be indoors.
An old room with walls lined by large, curving arched glass doors and neo-classical pillar designs, which looks like it may have been built sometime in the early 20h century. The floor is a mess of displaced and ruined tiles. Above is a semi-intact glass roof, with a few broken panes. Around the edges of the room and between the cracked floor tiles plants are growing in. Near the roof, smaller plants grow, trailing downwards. In what must be the best lit corner of the room, young saplings are taking over two of the doorways. To the right of the image is a dilapidated piano, collapsed awkwardly on one broken leg. You can imagine this place once hosted people in fancy suits and expensive dressed.
A corridor of crumbling plasterwork and large glass doors with broken panes. Sunlight streams in from above, and the beams which once supported the ceiling cast shadows against the wall. Low lying plants grow amongst the rubble on the floor, by the algae encrusted walls. In the centre of the photo, a sapling stands tall, growing straight upwards. In a few years, it may start to reach out from where this building's roof once was.
A large, old conservatory constructed from worked iron and glass, which now has several broken panes. There's no glass left forming the roof, with a ribcage of iron struts being all that remains above. It's still doing what it was intended for, being a home to plants, filling the edges of the old building and slowly climbing up the beams that form the frame of the place. To the left and right, there are glimpses of other greenhouses which look to be in very similar conditions. Though it feels sad to see what may once have been a botanical garden fall into such disrepair, this place was always a home for plants, and it still is. Left to her own devices, nature is maintaining this place in her own way.

it always feels like such a happy place to us

the early areas of Portal 2 kind of made us realize this. when it transitioned to cleaned-up chambers without plants later on, we felt a considerable loss.
