Does anyone know how to attach a cardboard thing to a wall without damaging the paint or drilling a hole in the wall?
I'm trying to get rid of the echo in my bedroom so I can record voiceover for my video but I ended up with a bunch of egg cartons taped to a piece of cardboard and no idea how to put them up
I asked like 3 or 4 people for ideas too and nobody was able to come up with anything
@hazelnot double-sided sticky tape?
@oreolek I'm worried that's either gonna rip the paint off when ai take the cardboard off the wall or not be strong enough depending on the specific type
@hazelnot Painters tape mayyyybe?
@hazelnot double sided mounting tape (fair warning: the tape that is strong enough to hold will also take off paint when it is torn down—tacks do less damage in the long run, even if they are against the rules)
@tylerzonia I've never heard of rules against tack outside of the US tbh, and also I'm Eastern European, here people usually still own the places they live in (or at least their parents do like in my case lol) (though that's going to shit even here)
@hazelnot I see. The rules are usually from landlords or in dormitories. Good luck with your project
@tylerzonia thanks! I ended up using regular tape but that kept falling off on one side and then when I took it off it took the paint with it on the other side so I gave up
I'm gonna try a different approach (using a sound shield my brother used to use when he was trying to get into voice acting), and if that doesn't work either I'm just gonna get proper foam panels to stick to the walls semipermanently
