Stumbled upon this wikipedia article in a neat little thread about projected vs perceived . Makes me feel a lot less crazy for being able to make pretty accurate "guesses" as to the feelings, history, and personalities of other people by their body language, as well as the hours of "unspoken convesations" I've had on . Additionally, the article points out that humans are designed to be easily read through this empathy system, in contrast to other primates, which it aptly and hilariously calls "Machiavellian". That seems to suggest to me that while we're obviously not 'meant' to be a totally unitarian Borg like species, we were meant to be cooperative and caring... Almost like we were built for some kind of anarchic socialism
