You could maybe add in stonepunk as a way to give commentary on what the world could have been like without the power structures which eventually led to imperialism and consequently capitalism. That's the most interesting way to do stonepunk, in my opinion.
Steampunk without commentary on the exploitative machinations of imperialism is not steampunk.
Cyberpunk without commentary on capitalism's efforts to buy the world out from under us is not cyberpunk.
Solarpunk without commentary on how to grow a brighter future for everyone instead of submitting to gloom is not solarpunk.
These three make a trifecta of how capitalism took over, what can happen if it continues, and how to prevent it from doing so. What was, is, and still could be.
@mntmn I'm not sure what your requirements are, but I've been wondering whether an Arm emulator might have the features you're looking for that could potentially be separated from the emulator.
I also found this post on RISC OS open forum that RISC OS has a Debugger tool that could perhaps be the start of a machine code monitor:
Reminds me of debug tool back in the DOS days. Although, that actually could do assembly.

I also completed soldering the header pins for the level shifters and the TinyFPGA BX board. Except for physically soldering the data bus and address line A0, I think all that needs to be done now is wire everything up in the solderless breadboard.
uspol, covid, money
so, in 2018, there were approximately 250 million adult (18+) USian citizens
if we guesstimate that 80% of them will get a $1200 check as part of a $2 trillion "relief package"
that means direct relief to the populace would come out to $300 billion, or 15% of the total package
their intention is for the citizenry to then turn around and give that money to...yes, that's right, the folk who are splitting up the other 85% of the relief package
again I would like to remind you that none of the fuckers in the government are your friends
It works!!! Bootstrapping a processor instruction set, architecture and dev platform from scratch is probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.
VM with 32MB of main memory, N cores with 128KB is running compiled uCISC code that paints 64x48 image on 640x480 “display”. Real working code. Eventually targeting a ECP5 FPGA to get real hardware running this. Just have to finish bootstrapping enough of an OS to get the basic I/O essentials. FYI @akkartik
@akkartik still the ruby VM at this point, but simulates most of the aspects of the hardware architecture. Verilog is next.
the means of memorisation must be seized and distributed.
