"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Chwall 0.4.1 is released ☺️ , featuring english, french and spanish translations (thanks to @h 😍). It is a tiny wallpaper changer for Linux (BSD ?) written in modern pygtk. It supports Gnome, Mate, Budgie, or any other X11 desktop with nitrogen.

You can find a stable archlinux package in AUR¹. If you want to try it elsewhere, just download it², untar it and do `sudo make install`. You'll find an icon in your distribution menu :)

There's something about spam sent by old friends that doesn't feel entirely annoying. It's a pulse beat, as long as they keep sending nonsense and clogging the internets with their crap, that means they're alive.

#Fediverse: I created `Cloud Firewall` addon. Block connections to big 5 tech clouds based on IP address ranges they own. If a site/page/resource IP matches a bundled list of IP address ranges, it's blocked

It's not a hosts/filterlist type "ad tracker blocker".

It's "firewall" - looks at IP address of URL bar and 1p/3p resources.

You h help serendipity by listening to people who think differently from you, if they are in some way making progress in the similar general direction as yours, and as long as those people are also open to incorporating extraneous ideas that can be applied and made useful in other contexts.
Listening to people who only regurgitate what they absorb from their perceived superiors is never very fruitful.

This is pretty awesome, with this Qt library for Go, you can use the same Go code to target a GUI desktop platform supported by Qt, or webassembly + Qt bindings. (or something else like Android and/or iOS if you have those SDKs installed)

I'm thinking of writing a post about some thoughts I've been having about media criticism. I'll likely be arguing something along the lines of: media criticism is largely self-referential and thereby normatively impoverished.

There is no such thing as 'white genocide'.

There is a such thing as white people voting against what they need for the last 6 decades to spite communities they don't like and it taking its toll.
