Nice little illustration of what it means to say “patriarchy is structural” in this Twitter thread. (It’s about getting a drunk teenage girl home safely. No threats; nothing bad happens):
Israel-Palestine conflict, Zionism & antisemitism
It is entirely possible to criticize and resist Israel's criminal actions toward Palestinians without saying it has no right to exist or putting it on par with settler-colonial states. To do so erases Jewish people's history in the region alongside Palestinians. It is possible for a state to commit horrendous crimes, as Israel's actions are, without its existence being illegitimate the way the so-called United States or Australia are.
As for "Zionist," most Jewish people I know are Zionists in the sense of believing Israel has a right to exist. All of them are critical of Israel's actions. Within Israel, Zionists are in solidarity with Palestinians on the ground, Zionists are protesting illegal government actions, and many, many Zionists are calling for Israel and Palestine to exist peacefully side to side. I ask you to think about the huge range of positions that exist within Zionism before assuming it means any one thing besides believing in Israel has a legitimate right to exist.
punch RMS but don't punch down
here's some things that are bad and harmful and worthy an #uninStallman:
- leveraging positions of power to make unwanted advances on women
- devil-advocating for pedophilia
- prescribing people's pronouns and ethnic terms against their will
- "stealing a kiss is not sexual assault and I refuse to acknowledge this concept"
- being shitty and condescending to people online
- being a lib
here's a list of morally neutral things that even if you personally don't like, do not in themselves cause harm to anyone:
- anything to do with his appearance, age or weight
- having a demeanor or behaviour that feels odd or neurodiv
- being bearded and other unusual sensibilities of personal grooming
- eating toenails in public and other failures to see or understand social protocol
a lot of good, sweet people do things like these and are not shitty. the things on the first list are unrelated to those in the second. mock the second list and you mock a ton of disabled etc. along with him.
by all means go punch RMS, but punch up.

Dear web developers and admins,
please stop embedding Google's hideous #ReCaptcha into your websites. Its algorithm is faulty, forcing regular users to click dozens or even hundreds of fire hydrants, bicycles, or traffic lights each day. It puts a 'suspicious activity' flag on users who won't obey to Google's business model - such as people who don't sign into Chrome, use anonymity VPNs, or use browser extensions to suppress common tracking mechanisms. Enough is enough. Stop it.

Here in Chile we used to call fascists «chupa picos» (“cock suckers”), until people realised that’s there’s nothing wrong with sucking dick, so people started calling them «chupa lumas» (“baton suckers”), which is more hilarious in my opinion.
If you ever need to insult a fascist, call them «fasho culiao chupa lumas!» (“you fucking baton sucking fash!”) :3
