Check out this film about HESTA (a retirement fund in Australia) I found on peertube. They're exacerbating the climate crisis by investing Health workers savings in coal and other fossil fuels.

Climate emergency, global heating, what's going to happen? Is civilisation going to collapse?
RT to increase numbers.

This nationalisation of private schools thing by the Labour party in the UK is brilliant. In every sense. Sadly it won't happen, it appeals to the far left, who love the idea. Most people are Luke warm about it. The right wing are shitting their pants/thinking how good a stick it is to beat them with it is.

Then it's modified on the manifesto to no more charitable status and letting other kids use the facilities. Those who like it still like it, Luke warms, warm up. Shitters lose their beating stick as it's quite reasonable actually.

Brilliant.

@puffinus_puffinus @kawaiipunk It was great! We had 30+ strikes across Pakistan, and almost 3000 people came to the one in my city.

Was also happy to see a lot of anticapitalists at the strikes, especially in Islamabad and Lahore. They had the best chants.

I've got to nit treat two children in the morning, and I'm lying in bed drinking whisky. Oops.

Some guys on that bird site started a mini campaign at Melbourne council because they banned bicycles from a defacto bike path with signs on the floor.

A week later, a bunch of tweets with reasoned argument, and one video later we got this.

Activism works, at all levels!

That's not a can of tuna your eating, it's a whole ecosystem.

I'm not one usually to encourage purchases, but this is pretty good. Silicone bands to turn empty jars into upcycled reusable takeaway coffee cups. From a not-for-profit that encourages discounts for non disposables.

If you see adverts like these when you buy petrol, you can take them subvert then and replace them later. Keep in your wallet for handy access.

Did Section have released a film. It's great.

Subvertisers for London (2019) vimeo.com/329129255

Last week I saw someone recommend rev.com as a way to make money from home by transcribing. Skeptical, I had a look to see if they were legit, and they seemed to be, so I signed up.

There's a small grammar and English quiz, and then a transcription test, to apply. If successful, you can see client transcription jobs and their pay-per-minute, choose whichever jobs you like, work as much/little as you want.

See the thing I like about is at least it's able to cling to *some* antagonism. Unlike FFF and XR that are incapable of having any messaging that's not "the governments/corporations have got to change!"

Moorland fires never used to be a thing. They've started only since I left the UK in 2006. Now they don't happen in high summer or autumn but mid spring.

If society are shitting it so much about part of a French cathedral burning down, they should have a think about what's coming up in a decade or two.
