Hi, everyone! We are an international worker-owned co-op.

We provide tech services with a commitment to privacy, transparency and sustainability. We have a strong commitment to libre software. You can read about our values on our website:

We are especially interested in collaborating with co-ops and other collective organisations working for a better world.

Return to Monkey Island is actually making me giggle out loud sometimes I love this game

Help the comrades in Iran get access to Signal by running a proxy ✊

Our proxy is up, DM here, mail ( or message on Matrix ( for the link.

If anyone wants to to help affectees of the flood in Pakistan, pls donate to this fundraiser.

It is organized by socialist-feminist collective with a long history of grassroots struggle.

I can vouch for the people behind it. They are always there in times of crisis, standing up to the militarized state dispossessing people of their land and their homes.

Our Matrix server recipe now supports bridging with Telegram, Discord and Signal! If you're looking to bridge online community chats, drop in to our Matrix channels to get some help setting things up. We have at least one fellow-hoster using and maintaining the bridges so far... see the configs on

Today I presented my paper On Cultivating The Installable Base at Participatory Design Conference (#PDC22).

In it, I argue that existing F/LOSS alternatives (such as Mastodon) are important resources when it comes to participatory work with groups looking to organize their own digital infrastructure, as it allows them to practically start inquiring in the nature of those alternatives and start thinking from there. However, to even consider them for such a process, the quality of those alternatives needs to be sufficient. So if PD wants to bring about computational alternatives, improving the quality of existing F/LOSS applications in concrete and material ways should be an important research outcome.

For those of us into participatory design, @rra recently gave a session / wrote a paper based on experiences from a project which made heavy use of Co-op Cloud: 👏

Now that the beta is out, we've been trying to form up for a discussion around the idea of the Co-op Cloud Federation ™️ which can be an organisational model for hosters/hackers/user groups/etc. to make decisions together about how the project should be run.

We published a proposal some time ago on and got some feedback.

We helped another union get online!

Another @coopcloud based setup. They're experimenting with Discourse and Nextcloud atm.

We're back from our visit to Documenta 15! We've been working for over a year on the infrastructure with an amazing group of artists, researchers, activists and organisers. We finally had a moment to meet IRL in Kassel during the 100 days. It was a humbling experience, to meet so many people from different parts of the world and discuss building digital alternatives. We're excited to keep working within this network and keep the discussion running

Shout-out to @battlemesh this year! A few of our members are aiming to participate 🥰 We've published this endorsement as a way to support the event: They're Good People, the event is worth taking a look, supporting, attending, etc. See you there hopefully 👋

Today, the Bonfire team is excited to announce our beta release 🔥🎉

We’re aware that Bonfire still needs a lot of work - like ensuring it federates as expected and improving configurability, accessibility and user experience - but that’s the point: we decided to launch at this stage with the intention of building the 1.0 release as a community.

The Co-op Cloud Public Beta is here 🥳 🌻 💃

The project is stabilising and more democratic tech collectives are joining in. We've got the full report on the blog

we've finally managed to publish a bunch of the Ansible roles that we've written and relied on for years 🎉 Here's a post with all the deets happy infra hacking!

autonomic tour of love and fury, day 6: accidentally found an unsecured, remote-controllable security camera on the guest wifi at this coöp cafe we're at 🕵️

🥳 is online 🥳

We've been working with ruangrupa & friends for a while now and we're super proud to see the project launched!

Here's an excerpt from the public post:

The aim of is to create a digital infrastructure that is maintained by the lumbung network without being dependent upon exploitative digital infrastructures. The pandemic and the ensuing digitization of many aspects of creative practice, offered an extra reason to focus on networked media practices., therefore, is an urgent experiment that tries out what an artist-run digital space could be like. was conceptualized and developed together with @rra an artist and doctoral candidate in Interaction Design at Malmö University and with @autonomic. Their work for is part of the @coopcloud initiative, which allows other collectives to set up similar infrastructures.
