Pinned toot

Hi, everyone! We are a workers co-op, predominately based in the UK.

We provide tech services with a commitment to privacy, transparency and sustainability. We have a strong commitment to libre software.

We are especially interested in working with co-ops and other collective organisations working for a better world.

This account is simultaneously posting on both Twitter and Mastodon (Fediverse). Bear with us while we tweak the settings for this integration. It might be a little annoying till we figure this out πŸ˜„

We imagine this is particularly interesting for the folks looking at Cloudron, YunoHost and other similar systems for self-hosting management.

Delighted to finally get this out public and looking forward to comments/questions/critique/testing.

Absolute goldmine of info. If you're looking for a starting point for learning about co-ops. This is it.

We need to build radical infrastructure NOW. This includes tech infrastructure. There isn't any time to waste. Join the solidarity economy :ecosocialism:

Some co-ops: what's a pronoun?

Good Praxis: we've implemented a custom JSON hack on our Rocketchat so that everyone can add their pronouns to their profile

I think we're going to try and be a bit more communicative on our blog/Twitter/Fediverse this year.

Our food coop website is up! Git hosting and continuous deployment running on @autonomic controlled machines. #rotterdam #food #coop

We're proud to be part of⁩, an open-source meeting and videoconferencing platform powered by ⁨@bigbluebutton⁩ running on cooperatively owned infrastructure 🌐

BigBlueButton is great for large events, and has powered some of our favorite open source conferences this year, like ⁨⁩ and HOPE (Hackers on Planet Earth) πŸ‘½

We at Autonomic are kind of more users than we are Twitter and I must say logging in after a while is a disconcerting experience.

It seems like you have to negotiate with the UI just to get anything done. There is random crap in the feed.
