Hey if anyone likes community radio stations
I'm building a little app for listening to them in the browser. Kind of like a car radio dial but for the world.
or on dat
dat://e23a16781465a4a8f3607c82a7ee60f0866aec108f4f0ded21978c2753a1efb1
nothing fancy but there's 500ish radio stations there most of them work

PRs to this file if you want to add stations
https://gitlab.com/tulsileathers/commonradio/blob/master/assets/stations.csv
or edit your local dat version directly
I know the search box is broken before anybody @s me about it
you can search by callsign now
@tulsi what a dope idea
@scottishwobbly thanks! mainly have done this out of annoyance. There's no good place to listen to good radio. https://www.radiofreeamerica.com
never works
https://soundtap.com/
is almost there but doesn't have enough stations
and I think they're both abandoned. Because there's no money in community radio. It's by nature anticapitalist
@tulsi annoyance is the mother of invention
@bamfic @scottishwobbly
Yep I know that one but it's not easy to use it's more of an art piece. And not all of the radios are non-commercial community stations
@tulsi Nice! Listening now.
@tulsi this is so cool thank you!!!
@annabelle_lee I'm glad you like it!
@tulsi
Ooh very nice!
@tulsi Nice! Thanks!
@tulsi
Very nice! Please consider adding KGNU (Boulder and Denver, CO), probably my easiest go-to while driving.
https://kgnu.org
@simone one of my favorites as well. Added
@tulsi replying so I remember to add my uni station, love me some freshair.org.uk
@Jane lovely I'll add that for you. It's the first station from across the pond! Currently only have north American stations
@Jane this is added now. it takes a while to load for me (probably cause I'm in the US). Search for freshair in the box
