This weekend I managed to take some ok pictures of bees with my new camera :)
This is also how I learned that bees don't just wait for a flower to bloom, they WILL force it open to dive in for some sweet sweet pollen.

@soragrey whoaa these are GREAT!!
@jake4480 Thanks! I'm a beginner so I'm still learning how to use a proper camera.
@soragrey haha well, you're nailing it. What kind? I really need to get a real one again someday. Nikon or Canon is what I'm thinking (for myself)..?
@jake4480 Based off the recommendation of a friend I got a sony a6000 - they had some for sale used on Amazon. I'm really liking it so far!
@soragrey oh wow hadn't even heard of that one- but it CLEARLY takes excellent pictures, I mean..

Hi Soragrey! Robert Capa, a famous photographer, once said 'If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough.'
I would like to give you some kind and friendly tips for your photos.
So you wanted to photograph bees? Then why did you give so much space to the flowers in the pictures?
Try to get as much as possible of your main subject, here the bees, in the picture. Most of the time - with a few stylistic exceptions - that means 'get closer!
I cropped your pictures a bit so that the focus is more on the bees, because you really wanted to make them big.
Best regards, B59R

@b59r Hi b59r! Thanks for the feedback. I didn't get too close because I did not want to bother the bees too much (after a while they end up losing their patience and start flying close to my head which to me feels like they're saying 'back off') so I am trying to be respectful :) I think cropping works too though! I haven't really processed the images at all yet.
