@becky I always thought my country had a massive collective problem with booze but what the author describes sounds like a totally different world to me. I had to read the first couple of paragraphs twice to make sure it wasn't fiction. Is it that bad in... I suppose this is about the US, because the author never mentioned where she lives or what society she's talking about, and that is *the* most American thing to do.
@anarchiv I presume it’s the US, but I’m from the UK and have experienced almost all the things described in the article.
Most people I know from the anglosphere have also mentioned similar things in the past
