@InvaderXan I don’t think you can toot via email. If it can help, you can toot from the command line: https://toot.readthedocs.io/en/latest/usage.html#examples. Depending on the case you have on mind, you might be able to replace the sending of an email by a command line script ?

I already do this from my research machine. But there's another machine I work from. I can't install software there myself (so no cli Mastodon clients), and apparently outgoing ssh connections don't work. But I *can* send e-mail notifications from the command line there...
