So many people go on social media and spend all their time talking about the things they hate. Then they say that they find social media depressing and exhausting.
Doesn’t matter if it’s this place or twitter or somewhere else – If you only ever talk about things you find terrible, it’ll wear you down. Detox your thoughts. Tell us all about something you love!
I should add, I’m not saying to never complain about things, and I’m not preaching toxic positivity. Sometimes you just need to vent, and that’s ok. We’ve all been there.
Just try not to make that the only thing you do. Eat your meal, then wash your plate.
@InvaderXan I guilty of doing this. I am kinda good at writing rants or just "we must fight" things and people react to them a lot and, well, that's addictive.
@charlag
Easily done. We’ve all done the same. Interactions give your brain a dopamine boost. More interactions, mean more dopamine, and that’s very literally addictive. Which is why this whole social media thing happened, I guess.
@InvaderXan well, yeah, obviously.
I've just finished a book which mentions this a lot, "An Absolutely Remarkable Thing"
@charlag
Hmm, I haven’t heard of that one. It sounds interesting though!
