Hi, I'm a middle-aged autistic layabout dilettante. My special interest hashtags include:
I'm a vocalist who is just starting guitar (again), a writer who has never published anything, a gnostic heathen druid. I'm in an mono-ish pairing and working on buying a sailboat to live aboard and sail round the world whilst writing.
(More in thread)
I've been running #linux since the late 90s. I've worked and played with Gentoo, RHEL, and Debian, but I've settled on Arch for my daily driver. I'm a firm advocate for #foss/FLOSS and federated software. I used to be able to code but those skills are veeeeeery rusty these days. Remember text MUDs? That's where I got my start, woo LPC.
I've been a member of the Star Trek and Star Wars fandoms basically since I was born. I also love the usual SF standbys -- BSG, Firefly, B5. My partner just got me into Steven Universe, so that's been fun, and I can't stop watching Disenchantment despite it not being Quality [tm]. Really looking forward to more SU, more GoT, and more Discovery.
My long-term goals are somewhat fluid. I would dearly love to be part of a "seastead," a commune of liveaboards either on our own individual boats or on one big boat, maybe with some ground on a remote island somewhere that we reclaim, but really any sort of tribe/commune would do, especially if it has some monastic aspects to it. And, of course, I hope to get published, since I've no idea how I'm going to make a living under capitalism otherwise XD
