I think yet again I won't manage to send Christmas cards this year. Yesterday I managed to actually buy a box and I thought I'd have a few hours' downtime to write them, but I didn't get much time alone in the end and when I did, I realised my address list was incomplete/out of date.
Every year I try to do it and every year I just never seem to get any cards written before the last posting date. I wish I hadn't optimistically bought that box yesterday now!
I'm sure at any other time of year I could get a bunch of cards written and posted, but then at any other time of year, I wouldn't need to allow six days for first-class post.
Christmas just seems to be a time of TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH A SHITLOAD OF THINGS banging up against YOU CAN'T DO THE THINGS BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS CLOSED and/or EVERYBODY ELSE IS TRYING TO DO THE SAME THINGS AT THE SAME TIME.
