I'm downloading Wikipedia onto a flash drive.

I'm having trouble finding software to read Zim files though. Someone told me there was a Java applet that was cross-platform? Does anyone know about this?

I can't get Kiwix to run on Ubuntu.

I am now using something called Xowa instead of Kiwix. Still kinda having trouble, but I'll report back when I figure out how to make it work.

OK so I never got Kiwix on a flash drive in quite the way I expected to.

However, the Kiwix software has this cool feature where you can start a server, and anyone on the local network would be able to access your stored wikis.
