(-) rant, pandemic, anti-work
I am feeling really guilty that I still have a paying job but feel like my boss is taking advantage of me. My mind keeps telling me, be happy with what you have, it could be worse.
That is usually the moment I get really angry. That anger feels futile though. What can I do? Go off on my boss? Try to organize my workplace in the middle of a pandemic? I don't have the spoons for that. I just feel trapped.
For the past week my allergies have been kicking my ass, I can barely breathe, I ache, I can't concentrate but I've been working because our FTO plan basically means, we'll guilt you if you take time off. We'll reprimand you if you take more time off than some arbitrary number we've come up with.
I don't know what to do. Bosses suck but I'm out of options.
