gripe: they need to include ABA in that, from what I'm hearing. (which can include forced gender complicance, apparently).
that's based off of something in a book, haven't traced it down online yet.
still, good news
I’m sick to death of people being precious about #GMO produce. Functionally there is no difference between a grape bred to have little or no seed and a grape that has been modified in a lab for the same thing. Y’all are just scared of science.
You wanna talk about #Monsanto charging for “licenses” for their crops, ok. Talk about agribusiness killing the planet, ok. Talk about corporations copyrighting genetic code, ok. These are all valid concerns.
But the science is sound.
Is one of the reasons I am completely against attempts to try and get payment processors to cut off service to various people, groups, or industries. It is, as far as I am concerned, simply not a thing payment processors should be legally allowed to do.

I thought this was a really interesting take: https://medium.com/@dr_eprice/laziness-does-not-exist-3af27e312d01
I made a rule a little while back that I would stop calling myself "lazy". (Often this means swapping in "tired" or "unmotivated" or whatever the actual problem is.) It's actually been pretty great for my mental health, since I'm no longer blaming myself when I don't feel up to doing something right that moment.

In the #NY14 democratic primary, Democratic Socialist and Latina Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez beat out incumbent establishment Democrat Joe Crowley, while running an outsider campaign that included calls to abolish ICE months before the family separation crisis.
Not only did she win, she won in a landslide (Up ~15% near the end) against a 10-term incumbent with deep pockets. Now she's running for House in a deeply blue district.

It's almost like it's difficult to morally support the existence of modern nation states if you firmly believe that all children deserve an equal opportunity to grow up happy

PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS LIKE LIBRARIES OR HOSPITALS GENERATE A SENSE OF COMMONALITY, COMMUNITY AND MUTUAL NEED AND ARE ONE OF THE LAST FEW BONDS OF BELONGING IN A SOCIETY WHERE PEOPLE ARE NOW ALMOST TOTALLY ATOMISED AND ISOLATED FROM EACHOTHER AS WORKER-CONSUMERS (WHICH IS A HUGE REASON WHY EVERYTHING IS TURNING TO HELL)
PRIVATISATION AND PROFIT ARE DESTROYING COMMUNITIES AND FAMILIES, NOT GAYS OR IMMIGRANTS OR FEMINISTS

So, the Masterpiece Cakeshop ruling is basically tone policing, yes? "The colorado equal rights commission said some blunt things about how religion has been used to discriminate in history, therefore this religious guy is allowed to violate people's rights after all. If they had been super respectful of his bigotry, maybe you could have rights."
libraries are such an important space
not only for free information, but especially for at risk populations and homeless populations
they offer free or very cheap internet access (which allows for finding resoucres, job applications, etc), free access to information, bathrooms, often places have refreshments for relatively cheap as well, etc. etc.
wanting to make public libraries obsolete is classist and just an incorrect viewpoint tbh
