as far as i'm concerned, shoes are PPE, and like my welding gloves, i'll wear them when the situation calls for them, but not as a matter of course. #barefoot

I’ve been thinking fondly of camp trans a lot lately because it changed my life to be surrounded by women like me. I think the closest thing we have now is philly trans hookup conference, and for reasons, it’s absolutely not the same. This is going to be a short thread.
transmisia in media, breath of the wild spoilers (yes i know i am extremely late to the game (pun intended) on this one)
i am of mixed feelings about the whole geruda town questline. on the one hand: link blushing when people say they're a cute girl is adorable af, and it is something really novel to see stuff in a big game that is relatable to me specicially as a trans woman. but on the other hand the truly unnecessary beard gag and the whole subterfuge angle i could've done without. it's definitely not good trans representation, but i probably wouldn't be playing the game at all if i hadn't heard it was in there. (as a rule, i don't play big open world rpg sandboxes that don't let you play as a girl).

why does getting drunk often have "stuffy, runny nose" as one of it's primary effects for me? it's awful. sometimes it doesn't happen, and i just get that chill loopy drunk feel, and it's great, but right now i can't breathe out my nose and i hate it. maybe i'm a little allergic to something idk.
This is some next level UI frustration, it's amazing https://userinyerface.com/game.html
PSA for noise-sensitive folks and pet owners in the US re the 4th of July (OK to RT)
If you're sensitive to loud noise, and fireworks make you feel bad, it's all too easy to just feel so bad that you forget about things you can do that can help you deal.
Today, make sure you have some of these resources available for it tomorrow. You can try:
* earplugs (there are different kinds: some that block everything, and some that only turn down the volume a little, so you can still hear)
*'ear defenders (those big earmuffs they wear on firing ranges)
* putting on music
* running a fan
* playing white noise
* staying indoors with all the doors and windows shut
* using any strategies that you know help you cope with the stress itself... like drinking plenty of water, or playing a game that absorbs your attention
* making plans to go somewhere else that's more quiet in the afternoon and evening
Most pets can get scared by the noises fireworks make. They might run away, or hide in a place that's not good to hide in. Set up your home so you can keep them indoors overnight, even if you normally put them outside.
* You can't give pets earplugs, but you can run fans or music to help cover the noise from outside.
* You can set up a cozy space that they can hide in whenever they want. It could even just be a cardboard box with some towels.
* Make sure they have fresh litter.
* Fresh water, too. Pets can drink a lot of water when they're stressed, just like you.
* When you go out with your pets, keep them on leash.
Some of you might think the above is common sense, but common sense often doesn't work right when we get upset, so it's helpful to have it written out. It can also be hard to think of how our pets feel, since they can't tell us in words.
Take care. 💖
@interneteh under the current arrangement, soda companies get control of valuable aquifers or other water sources and all they make is the plastic bottles to put it in. it's essentially a garbage factory that plunders a resource we all need.
