This was a super good point in 1899, and it's even more important 120 years later.

It really annoys me when I see inequality analyzed by simply bracketing income levels, (like "the top 10%" or "the bottom 50%" or w/e). How can you approach the problem of inequality when you're completely ignoring the social structure that creates it -- capitalism?

First of all.... the ruling class aren't just "people with a lot of money," they're the private owners of the tools we need to build our society, and the commanders of our labor power... so jot that down!
