This was a super good point in 1899, and it's even more important 120 years later.
It really annoys me when I see inequality analyzed by simply bracketing income levels, (like "the top 10%" or "the bottom 50%" or w/e). How can you approach the problem of inequality when you're completely ignoring the social structure that creates it -- capitalism?
