thinking about how capitalism came into its own as scientific processes advanced to such a degree that we were now able to produce more than we could ever use, and instead of evolving into post-scarcity, the ruling class organized it so the surplus and plenty was not shared, and then claimed scientific progress itself could not take place outside of the capitalist system they just thought up.
