I proudly use Kdenlive for my editing.
Some folks tell me that I'm punishing myself or my viewers by using software that's "slower" than Resolve, Final Cut, etc- I could get videos out "so much faster" with other, proprietary software. Possibly fair.
That said, I imagine there was a time when folks suggested Linux was a lousy server OS because it "took longer" than something proprietary. Eventually our continued use and support improved things, for everyone.
@crusom@sunbeam.city@vkc I love it, but it is true that it has no GPU acceleration.
I have a strong GPU but not so good CPU and I feel it when I use kdenlive....
