Neurotypicals
NTs are really bad at social interaction. They're just all bad in the same way. All their social interaction is holding on by a thin thread of everyone being bad in the exact same way. If they were bad in different ways society would collapse.
Neurotypicals
@Some_Person it's not a good system. It's plagued with anxieties and misunderstandings, lots of confusion and tension covered over with "smile and nod" or "go along to get along." It's a wonder anything works or gets done at all.
Neurotypicals
@compostablespork why are NTs allergic to just saying what they mean? They basically lie about what they are thinking and then they blame others when they don't know what's going on.
Neurotypicals
@Some_Person I wish I knew. Fear, I'd guess. NTs are constantly afraid of social rejection. (Meanwhile busily rejecting others socially, so we do know what we're afraid of.)
Neurotypicals
@compostablespork @Some_Person sometimes, we've tried to mimic all that, because people were like "lol we don't get you".
which usually just made things worse, because more layers and assumptions (on their part), anxiety (in all directions), and all of that.
definitely not a good system
Neurotypicals
@Some_Person i don;t follow
how are they bad
Neurotypicals
@Some_Person society *does* collapse because of that. It has happened lots of times
Sunbeam City is a Libertarian Socialist solarpunk instance. It is ran democratically by a cooperative of like-minded individuals.
Neurotypicals
NTs say what they don't mean and hear what the other person did not say.
How is this a good system?
