A few years ago when I was IT manager for a small CAD design firm, we would have considered it if in a hypothetical world where Autodesk supported Linux. I naturally rebuilt all the back end infrastructure on Linux and VMware. But Autodesk is joined to Windows at the hip and the subscription leash is even shorter then with Adobe. In a hypothetical world where such companies provide Linux versions it would make Linux a viable work station OS at least.
