I want to do a project in my city where people photograph a street and do a digital makeover regarding their dreams and visions (full artistic freedom). I hope to start a constructive discussion about citizen-based city planning.

I did not find any examples of what I imagine, so I made one ( ). If you know of anything similar, please let me know. Some more examples would be helpful for initiating the project.

@dmk I live in an area where, whilst there are a lot of well-tended front gardens, the street is chock full of cars. I'd love to imagine it with large planters with tall trees on the road, seats, & little 'library' boxes where there was a list of different tools everyone had that could be borrowed, along with things people were giving away, from a jar of chutney you don't want, to gluts of veg you want to share.

I have the ideas in my head, but not the tech to do the before & after pic like you have

@GwenfarsGarden Although I have the tech, I made it with an "INTUOS pen & touch medium" in krita.org , I certainly miss the art part. One could also print out the photo and try it with good old pencils. It will not look worse, than what I fabricated 😆

@dmk ahh, I see. I don't feel I can justify spending the money on the pen touch thingy, but maybe I could try sketching it out. My art skills are rather appalling though!

@GwenfarsGarden Another form for realisation would be a collage. Putting together cut pieces from magazines that fit into the picture (trees, people, anything). One would only need scissors, glue, and some old magazines.
