Janie’s delight at at the family seaside day out is tempered by Emma’s increasingly unkind behaviour. @1ngi just listened to Lucy Worsley BBC podcast (about murder) on Madeleine Smith, who also called her lover "my husband" and referred to herself as his wife. It must have been fairly usual for women to think of themselves this way maybe.

@1ngi one of the really interesting storylines in the BBC radio drama "Home Front" is about a "travelling salesman" type bigamist -- both families in the same town.
